Hunter/Jumper Riding Lessons
Keezlenutten Farm, LLC offers hunter/jumper
lessons for all levels of riders, from beginner to advanced. We believe
that riding is great
for everyone, whether you are doing it just for fun or strive to
compete.
Lessons include learning to groom and
tack your horse, because we feel that this is an essential part to
becoming a good rider. We
strive to get our students to a point where they are able to arrive,
get their horse from its paddock, groom and tack it up on their own.
This makes our students not only more confident in their ability,
but also prepares them if they wish to purchase a horse later in
life.
We have a 100' x 200' outdoor ring with Jumper style fences
as well as fields and trails. We try to expose our students to a wide variety of horses
and locations so that they can learn to ride effectively in many
situations.
In the summers we go to many local
shows with our students. A lot of the shows
are geared toward beginners
and do not require full show attire. While we never require showing,
we feel it is a good experience for everyone because it allows them
to receive feedback from a qualified judge.
Showing locally is relatively inexpensive. We also go to more competitive
shows with our advanced riders, where the cost tends is higher.
